We return from Safari on Wednesday 12th May and fly down to the coast - Mombasa the next day. We'll then travel up the coastal road to the A Rocha Centre in Watamu near Malindi.
We're very interested in A Rocha, the only International Christian Organisation concerned with the Environment and Ecology and the knock-on effects that our disregard for our planet has on the people of the planet.

We're excited about living with the team "in community" there for 5 days, eating and working together. There's no better way to find out about a country than to spend time with its people!

Safari so good!
Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th May
We will be going on Safari to the Masai Mara!
Hoping to see the Big 5 of course - that's Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant.
However May isn't the best month in the year. It's not the classic migration time and it's still the wet season with lots of mossies. Still, we feel sure we'll see something!

For the first two days....
...we will stay with Jon and Jo Parsons of the Turning Point Trust and get to see the work they do in Kibera, Africa's largest slum, SW of Nairobi.
To give you an idea of Kibera check this link out: http://theplaceswelive.com/
where some residents show you their homes and share something of their lives.
Also check out Turning Point on facebook: www.facebook.com/tptrust
And www.globalgiving.co.uk/pr/5300/proj5215a.html
And Jon's Blog "Healing on the streets of Kibera" http://healingonthestreetsofkibera.blogspot.com/
It's one thing to check it out online - it'll be quite another thing to experience it!
